How the Surefeed pet feeder works

Access to the Surefeed pet feeder is controlled through a flap that only opens when the cat's microchip has been scanned and recognized.

This way, only the cat(s) that has/have been programmed into the system can access the contents of the feeder (the Surefeed pet feeder can store up to 32 different microchips!)

Surefeed pet feeder - Benefits

• Prevents your dog from eating the cat's kibbles.
• For homes with several cats: keeps cats from stealing each other's food and lets you determine which food is eaten by which cat, and how much. This is perfect if you have a cat that is on a special treatment diet (for bladder stones, kidney problems, diabetes). If a cat is overweight, you can make sure that it doesn't eat more than its daily serving.
• A flap that seals the food keeps food fresh and keeps flies away.
• The Surefeed pet feeder comes with a single and a split grey bowl. The split bowl allows you to feed your cat both kibbles and wet food.

Surefeed pet feeder - Instructions for use

• The Surefeed pet feeder operates with 4 R14 1.5 V batteries (not included). To ensure long battery life (approximately 6 months), we recommend using high-quality batteries and to avoid using rechargeable batteries. A flashing light will indicate when the batteries are running low.
• The Surefeed pet feeder is easy to use. It has 3 buttons on the side:
  • One button to open the flap and access the food dish.
  • One button to programme the cat's microchip
  • One learning button to leave the flap open while the cat gets used to the new feeding system. Once this period has passed, a second learning phase will cause the flap to move slightly when the cat approaches its dish, while allowing access to the dish. It is important to not rush your cat through this process and to give it enough time for each step (several days).  
• Both the dish and the flap can be removed for cleaning. Both must be hand-washed, as they are not dishwasher safe (particularly because the dishwasher will destroy the seal on the dish).
