Drontal Cat - indications for use

Drontal Cat is indicated when treating preventatively for:

• Adult gastrointestinal nematodes (Toxocara cati, Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Ancylostoma braziliense).
• Gastrointestinal cestodes (Dipylidium caninum, Hydatigena (Taenia) taeniaeformis, Mesocestoïdes spp, Joyeuxiella pasqualei, Echinococcus multilocularis).

• DRONTAL Cat => 1 tablet per 4 kg body weight

Administering Drontal Cat

Drontal Cat is administered orally. Drontal Cat tablets can be administered on their own or hidden in a piece of meat or other soft food that your cat eats readily. Drontal Cat tablets can also be crushed and mixed into your cat's food. There is no need to feed your cat a special diet.

Drontal Cat treatment duration

Drontal Cat is administered in a single dose. If your cat has a roundworm infestation, a single treatment may not be sufficient, particularly in young cats, and there is still a risk of passing roundworms on to humans. Repeated treatments every 2 weeks is recommended using a method that targets nematodes up until two to three weeks after the kitten has been weaned.

Drontal Cat ingredients

Pyrantel Embonate, Praziquantel, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose Polyvidone, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, polyethylene glycol 4000, titanium dioxide per tablet.

Storing Drontal Cat

Store Drontal Cat at room temperature (15-25°C). Drontal Cat can be kept until the expiry date indicated on the package. The expiry date starts with the letters "EXP” (expiration), followed by 6 digits: the first two digits represent the month and the last four digits represent the year.

Drontal Cat contraindications

Drontal Cat is not recommended for use in pregnant cats. Do not use in combination with Piperazine. Treatment using Drontal Cat is not indicated in kittens less than 3 weeks old.
