The Snufflemat can be used to make feeding your dog more interactive, or as an indoor game to keep your dog busy (in case of bad weather, for example!)

When it is being used to feed your dog, the Snufflemat can hold up to 450 g of kibbles.

The Snufflemat is a game of intelligence and not a toy! ALWAYS stay with your dog and watch it while it is using the Snufflemat, and take the mat away once your dog has finished playing. This way, your dog will not destroy the mat (or swallow a strap) and will not lose interest in the game.

How to get your dog to use the Snufflemat correctly

The dog should get used to the Snufflemat gradually, so that it does not play with it (by pulling on the straps, biting it, etc...). The dog must understand that it must use its smell.

The first few times you introduce the Snufflemat to your dog, put a few kibbles on the straps and 2 or 3 kibbles between the straps. Once your dog has found these kibbles, you can take the mat away and store it. The first sessions will be very brief (10 to 20 seconds!), but they are essential to your dog's understanding of the game and key to stimulating its interest in the mat.
